My Little Valentines~

Its so fun to watch the children get excited over little pieces of paper from their friends.
Somethings never change.  Boxes and bags with lacy doilies, bright red stickers and cards to mom and dads!

Yummy rice krispy hearts!

(Somebody's favorite valentine.)

Sweet Valentine girls!

This class loves to do selfies! Even Miss Jeanne got in the fun!

Orange Day events...

I love to see children find an activity without setting up the activity.  Here they decided to take our links, counting blocks and letters and sort them by not only category, but by the type of toy!

Bathroom Brigade.

Two happy smiling faces.  Congrats to Caden who has finished five of his books and is halfway through the beginning reading program.  You rock!
Happy Birthday to Evelyn, number 4!

Blue Day......or is it PINK day!

It may have been blue day for the kids, but all I could do was have PINK PINK PINK on the brain!
At the anticipation of his little girl, the Ph.D, rocket science, aero-dymanics son has been brought to his knees!  Baby Hofferth due July 31st.   Congrats Jerrod and beautiful momma, Jacqueline!

Ok,.....here's some picks of Blue Day!

Working as TEAM BLUE cleaning up!

What's up with the funny faces?  They're saying Blue..........

Purple People Play!

Our color unit is coming along with Purple day!
Purple play dough, collages and letter sticks!

New manipulatives have come out of storage and the children are learning how to use them. (I have a whole garage full)
IT'S YOGA WEDNESDAYS!  The kids are absolutely having a blast with our Zoo Yoga! I am so impressed at their balancing skills.  As you can see from the pics they are quite amazing!  Every Wednesday we will continue with our movement games and Yoga.
 Flying like an eagle....

Look at that strength and balance!

"F" is for frog!

"S" Snail crawl.

...and so ends Purple Day with our super hero!

Here We Go Again...

Hello Families: After weeks of planning, computer glitches and just plain busy, our class blog is now updated.  Be sure to see all the new posts! We've been working on fine motor as you can see with our large tweezers.  Looks easy, but its not for little hands.  This is a great way to strengthen those hand muscles and fingers!

We have started our "Science and Color of Art" unit off with a favorite of the boys....GREEN!

Many of them have not fingerprinted before so this was a new experience as we are ALLOWED to use our hands. Some were even hesitant at first and I guided their hands into the paint.

New folder games have been added working on beginning sounds and putting numbers in order.  They did quite well!

GO GREEN!
