Red, White and Blue!

We had a more teacher-directed project today, fun candle globes for our 4th of July table!  The kids couldn't believe we were "painting" with glue!   FLOAM was a big hit.   I bought the three colors at the Dollar Tree store.   Its great, fun stuff but found if you wet your hands first, it won't stick to them!
It can be used again if you store it in a ziplock bag.

Things like FLOAM are great for introducing new textures to children.   By letting them experience new textures, it becomes easier to try new things, especially things we can taste.

At our math center today we had GeoBoards, which the children can use rubber bands to make various shapes and patterns.
I hope you all enjoy your 4th of July Holiday!
